About

 

I am a Liverpool-based contemporary painter working primarily in oil. I'm drawn to overlooked moments and places of everyday life: people waiting, travelling, gathering and passing through the spaces around us. My paintings combine observation with graphic sensibility, exploring light, colour, atmosphere and the quiet stories contained within ordinary scenes. 

 

I also regularly take illustration commissions and I am one of the artists who run Liverpool Independent Art School where I host painting classes and workshops.
